here is an 18 year old who was apparently shot for resisting taking part in criminal activity and the sex industry.

    she is dead.

may she Rest in peace, nobody deserves this and this deeply saddens me.

the girl is only younh and she did nothing wrong.

I'm curious as to why we should care about this particular individual ?
It's all very sad *swipes tear from eye*, but that said from the sounds of it she was associating with criminal elements and as the saying goes "if lie you down with dogs you're gotta get fleas".

Tragic yes, but it's just speculation that her death was in anyway connected to criminal activity or the sex industry.

let me tell you something rev hellfire, you know nothing about this girl. its all great for you sitting in prob a nice comfy home but did u see where this girl was living in a modern country like ireland?

she's a victim of her life circumstance, and she was only very young.

The thing is there are tons of 'victims' of life circumstances, this one is hardly anything special. I just don't see why we should give special attention to her above and beyond anyone else who's died this week, she's hardly done anything to deserve it.

if an 18 year old was found or believed to be shot dead then you bet there would be a big deal about it.

she was an innocent victim who was murdered. dont u get that?

I think the cynical element is why you're starting a thread about this, rather than the countless other horrific injustices perpetrated every day, and to be fair, why are you singling out this one?

Generally threads in humanities are a discussion rather than an obituary, what are you looking to discuss OP?

Are you trying to start a debate on why no one cares?

Well he's banned now but here's something I think we should think about. The speculation is that this girl died because she resisted attempts to engage in criminal activity. If this is true then she should be applauded and remembered for that.

She was born into crap circumstances, raised in those circumstances, knew no other life yet somehow tried to resist the 'inevitable' for someone like her. She paid the price for that resistance.

I'm not saying she was going to go on and become a saint but anyone who tries to remove themselves from a situation such as that deserves accolades and help. I wonder how much it says about society that she felt that there was nowhere in Ireland for her to turn for help?
