Lads if ye are after some great hunting books, hunting big game across north america and africa I would highly recommend any books from the Peter Hathway Capstick collection. These have been some of the best books I have ever read and have enjoyed over and over again. These are the kind of books you cant put down.

I would also recommend African Game Trails by Theodore Roosevelt ( Ex-President USA)a very enjoyable read and a eye opener into big game hunting many many years ago.

Have to agree with you, Peter Hathway Capstick is fabulous reading, He has a chapter in one of his books on shooting snipe in Galway back in the 60's.
