First Outing for New 300mm f2.8

    Eventually got to try out my new 300mm f2.8 at the weekend & what day for it on Saturday. Sub-zero conditions with fog. Sunday was alot better.

    I will need to get used of the monopod as I used to walk around with the 70-200mm f2.8

    If you go to his flickr the exif says he's using a 40D so i assume its the canon..

    Nice images. Well worth the investment, obviously.

    The Canon 300mm f/2.8 is a brilliant lens.

    Yeah, Canon 300mm f2.8.

    Last two were shot using the 1.4 extender.

    The Winter sun can be difficult to work with.
