I have a core2 quad 6700, have it a year and iov noticed recently my temps are going up to the high 80's low 90's:eek::eek::eek:

Opened the case and the cooler has stopped, however if i give it a spin with my finger it starts working and the temps go back down to 35-40... Im extremely worried about this!!!

what should i do? Does anyone know of any fixes APART from buying a new cooler?

    Buy a new fan.

Komplett have a wide choice and they're quite cheap.

Don't try to fix the fan. It'll probably just die again. A replacement will be dirt cheap.
