While I'd be reluctant to recommend someone I havn't used, I've heard good things about this guy:

    http://www.theguitarworkshop.net/

Think he might currently work for x-music taking care of in-house repairs.

Yep, but he's not in the city centre and has a pretty long waiting list. I've brought my Martin back to Perfect Pitch for a few tweaks, they're an authorised dealer and did a great job. I can't imagine they'd be any less proficient at dealing with electrics.

Seems to be a lack of quality techs/luthiers in this country.

Op what exactly is the matter?

oh, i just need my strat adjusted as its feeling a bit choked- Im usually ok at seeting em up myself ,
but this one is giving me gip

I dont think tremelo strats like having the trem locked down ( cos i dont use it )
so i find I keep getting a choked feel no matter what bridge/ truss adjustment i give it
even a high action feels a bit choked. - maybe its a dodgey fret somewhere.
