I've got 4 friends coming around on Friday evening for dinner. have a few problems impacting on what I might cook:

    1. Space. Dining table is for 2 so we'll all be eating off plates/small coffee tables so nibble-type food would work best
    2. Time. Really busy in work so will probable only have an hour to get everything ready
    3. Money. Not exactly flush at moment so while I'd love to run into M&S and buy the lot, I can't really afford to.

    Any suggestions/tips?

    Thanks.

Buffalo wings with franks hot sauce, thread here
Celery sticks with blue cheese dressing, recipe in the wings thread.
Pizza, get a couple of oven ready pizzas from supermarket.
Chunky chips or potato wedges - oven type.
    Big green leaf salad.
    Olives.
    Wine and beer.

    Curry? Green thai or otherwise.
Lasagne - can be made in advance and you can clean up the cistin before the guests arrive.
Burgers - serve with chips/wedges and they don't have to use cutlery.
