    TV.com summary:
Dexter and Miguel try a game of manipulation. Rita is impressed by Miguel's wedding gift. Debra has second thoughts on her relationship with Anton.

I'm way too excited not to watch this tonight, but that'll be quite a bit later, so I figured I'd put the thread up...

I'll have some thoughts up after watching it :).

Another really good episode. The last three have been brilliant. Some people were complaining early in the season but if you look at the alst 2 seasons, the show has always only really heated up in the last 4 or 5 episodes.

While I still definitely think this season is the weakest (and has taken longer to heat up than others), this episode was much much better. Dexter is far more closer to his psychotic self, than the guy who is planning his wedding day with his best mate.
The mind games with Miguel here were great and, sure we all guessed the Skinner was working with Miguel, but it was still great to see it go down. Particularly liked the rooftop scene - Miguel was ranting and raving and Dexter, true to form, just stood there calmly.
Also has Debbie got the foulest mouth in history? Her exclamation when she woke up beside Anton: "Cock suck.. Motherf**k!" was particularly classy.

Finally, La Guerta... she's a bit rubbish isn't she? Last season she dragged her personal life and problems into work and almost lost her command for good and this season she is again letting her personal feelings for a friend cloud her ability to her job and her judgement.

Pretty much a flawless episode - loved it. The constant back-and-forth between Dexter and Miguel was top stuff indeed - Miguel sure is one twisted f**k. That outburst on the roof kind of said it all, even though that was not really an outburst either, just another step in his plan...

They even tied in the Angel storyline, by using it as a sort of contrast to Miguel - not everyone chooses to go down a dark path. And even though the episode didn't have too much of the dark humor I love in this show, the whole thought process of Dexter while giving Angel the blood work report was pretty funny ("Don't get involved, what are you doing?") :).

That's the Debra we all know and love :D. I think she toned it down a bit during season 2, but was indeed the most foul-mouthed character I've ever seen on any show during season 1...

I reckon Laguerta totally copped on that it was Miguel's car. She's gonna go ape at him.

Another cracking episode. Prado has really evolved throughout the series, Smit's inclusion to the show has been a real success imho.

Oh completely. It's how Dexter will be saved - they'll put out a call for Miguel's car and they'll go a-hunting and find Miguel at the scene. Just in time for a wedding finale...

yeah, well asidefrom being a bit hopeless most of the time she's still a detective. i copped that she was going to figure it out as soon as the wife mentioned 'that' night.

good to see everything coming together though, I think they had to go the way they did thoug to flesh out the relationship with Dexter and Miguel, otherwise i would just be another kill. all the thought processes, the to'ing and fro'ing and then the multi-layered betrayal all slotted into place perfectly.

top notch anyway. liking it muchly.

+1 - he seemed like a bit of a loudmouthed tool in the first few episodes he was in but that's the way he was playing it all along I think - he's played the part perfectly. Especially back in episode 8, when Miguel killed for the first time on his own - Smits' expression and "fantastic" reply was delivered perfectly.

It's been a slowly simmering season alright, but the payoff here is just absolutely spectacular. It's really, really heating up, and I just cannot wait until next week.

Anyone else think that the kidnapping at the end isn't the Skinner?

I'd say its Masuka and Angel kicking off the batchelor party.

And! We still haven't had an explaination as to why Miguel's brother was fighting with Freebo at the start of the season.
I think Freebo, all 3 Prado brothers and King(the Skinner) were up to something shifty from the beginning and Dex's unplanned killing of Oscar kicked off a chainreaction of events which has been the current season.

    Just putting it out there!
    Anyone else have any ideas.

Errm, I'd say it's the skinner.

Something about Miguel's brother was a junkie or something. Thought it was already explained.

Wasn't Dex handcuffed when he was thrown into the boot of the car.
Plus! The Skinner drove a truck.
And why the bag over the head. All the cops already know who the Skinner is. Why try to conceal your identity.

Miguel's brother being a junkie was only a theory. Not proven during the investigation. They said he was a community aid worker or something and that he may have confronted Freebo for dealing in the area.

No real motive for Oscar being at Freebo's and fighting with him was ever given.

Also! When Miguel interviewed King(the Skinner), and switched off the camera who knows what was said between them. I think they could have a history and it might all come out in the last 2 episodes.
It would certainly fill in the gaps that have been left about Oscar and Freebo that have been pretty much forgotten about since the first few episodes.

Miguel himself has mentioned Oscar's "problems with drugs" a number of times. Even in this episode, when he is putting the moves on LaGuerta, he talks about "the kid with the skinny legs, but that was before the drugs..." or something along those lines.

And I think the skinner got Dex - the bag over the head is just to disorient/surprise him. No doubt Miguel already warned the skinner that Dexter himself is pretty dangerous...

Plus they have always been cryptic as why he was at Freebos place when Dexter came across him

Really? :S For me the second season would win that award hands down. I've found this season to be really well paced. Can't recall watching an episode and being disappointed. Has worked much better than last season imo.

Agreed. Just because Lila isn't in it!

Agreed. Just because Lila isn't in it!

Still, watching Dex kill Lila off when she thought she had gotten away from everything was hugely satisfying. That's why I'm looking forward to the season 3 pay-off with Miguel, whatever way it may go... for all 3 seasons now they have developed one particular relationship, leading up to a very solid ending in the last 2 cases.

Can't wait for the last two episodes. I knew from the synopsis this was going to be a cracker, and it didn't disappoint. The back and forth games were fantastic. You just had to laugh when Dexter showed up at La Guerta's door.

I'm still not sure what to think about Miguel's motives. Does he know Dexter killed his brother, or does he just want to go his own way (free of Harry's code) and get rid of the only person who knows the real Miguel Prado?

The skinner has definitely has Dexter. I don't think the skinner is aware of Dexter's form at all. He will be in for a shock.
