    So yesterday my mate asked would I buy him a game off ebay, so I did. After I'd confirmed the payment, etc... ebay collasped. I got a receipt from Paypal saying I've paid X amount, but never got anything from ebay or the seller, so emailed him and he never got the payment and nothing has shown up on my Visa card.:confused:

    The seller has 99.9% postive feedback, with 700 odd comments.

    Does the item show up in your 'My eBay'? It might take a few days for the seller to receive the payment into their account.

    Did the auction end after you bought the item? Is the item showing in your My eBay account (under the Bought category)? If yes then the sale was taken into account by eBay.

    Then check the following: has the transaction taken place with Paypal? In your paypal account you can view the recent transactions. There should be 2 for the item you bought. One going from your cc to your paypal account and the other one from your paypal account to the seller. If the transaction from your paypal account to the seller is missing then the seller hasn't been paid. Don't let him tell you otherwise. If he has been paid, he would have received an instant payment notification email from paypal.

    If the payment has gone through with paypal but it hasn't been updated with eBay ask your seller to make the update.
