It's worth every penny! Got a friend at work to buy it today - would have gotten it myself if I didn't already have the Xbox 360 version.

Do you mean from the list here or generally? From the ones here, I'd recommend Bioshock - unfortunately, most of these offers have now expired and Bioshock is now over €40 on Play.com again, with some of the other titles hitting the €55 mark.

If you mean generally, it kind of depends what you like. Metal Gear Solid 4 is an absolutely amazing game though it does go a bit overboard on the drama/cut-scenes in places. Still, I've had an Xbox 360 for a lot longer than the PS3 and this is the one game I always wanted to play when I didn't have the PS3...

But there are many more good games out there right now: Little Big Planet if you like platformers, Fallout 3 if you like RPGs, Resistance 2 if you like FPS games, etc...

I only recently got the PS3 as well so it's worth checking out the "Platinum" range too - Play.com is selling those for €20.99 - Uncharted: Drake's Fortune is probably the standout title in that range.

These offers still stand ,bioshock is 25 euro.

Some of the games are out of stock ,but you can still order.

I'll probably be mullered for this, but Stranglehold is good value at that.
Leave-your-brain-at-the-door shooter, but it is really good fun, even if it does get a bit repetitive. I bought that for €27 a while ago and still got back €26 from X-Travision on a trade, so it wass brilliant fun for €1.

Follow my links in the original post and Bioshock is still €25.49

Yeah, I see that now. That's very weird - two links for the same title:

    http://www.play.com/Games/PlayStation3/4-/5748027/BioShock/Product.html

    Bioshock @ €41.99...

    http://www.play.com/Games/PlayStation3/4-/8229510/BioShock/Product.html

    Bioshock @ €25.49...

So yeah, following the original links is definitely the way to go :).

I think I'll pick Bioshock up, it seems to be good value and the impression I get is everyone should play it once!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,318 ✭✭✭witnessmenow

I can no longer edit my original post , but i thought i'd let you know haze is back to €13, Timeshift is now €25.

In 3 years of ordering regularly from Play and Sendit.com (both in Jersey) that has NEVER happened to me.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,318 ✭✭✭witnessmenow

Thats the point of the thread i think, that suddenly it is. I've ordered off play a few times and never got charge either, but the ol government might be short a few pound these days, and here is one sure what to get it!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 27,194 ✭✭✭✭noodler

The thread is 2 years old.

Not long after I first started buying from play.

If you ordered today i would expect it would arrive the middle of next week.

I would order them seperatly as you gain nothing from ordering them together

Its unlikely, but technically you could get charge customs on anything over €22, but it would be harsh

Not my experience with Play again. 6 or 7 WORKING days for delivery. Jersey>England>Here

    Defo for xmas surely

I order most of my games off Play.com and have not have any such problems so far but yeah, since times are tough, they might start enforcing it more often now. In any case, I've got 3 games on the way now (shipped today) so should know soon...

Pure is €13.99 on play at the moment.

Its got fairly decent reviews ( basically 8/10s across the board), very good price for a game that came out in september!

Tom Clancy's End War is €27.99

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell: Double Agent is €13.99
