    Hi,

I am going to get a 37' LCD, I've decided on a Samsung series 6 (good reviese, probably best overall value for money).

I am looking at directtvs.co.uk, they have 2 models which are both series 6, I compared them on the site and got this : http://www.directtvs.co.uk/AdvSearch/Compare.aspx?s=2&prod=LE37A686M1F&prod=LE37A616A3F

Which doesnt really tell me anything other than the two stands are a bit different. So does anyone know if there are any significant differences between LE37A686M1F and LE37A616A3F

    Thanks
    Sconsey

    go for the 40inch A686/A656

The 40" is a much better tv than the 37"

Afaik, the 686 has 100hz, whereas the 616 does'nt at all. Also, the 686 is much newer, and, IMO, way nicer looking. I think the contrast on the 686 is 35000:1 too. Nearly sure the directtvs website is wrong. Between the two, definitely get the 686. Lookin into that tv too myself, works out at just over 800e delivered over here

Only the blacks will be better really, that and the "super clear panel", which i've heard is a scourge in a bright room.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I think I will go for the 686 looks like the best option for me ( 40' tv is a bit too big for the room I am putting it into).

Zonda, where are you planning to buy from?

Dont know yet. Possibly laptopsdirect. Either the sony 40v4000 or the 37a686. I do like the idea of havin 100hz in the samsung, though
