    One word: expensive!!

one word but you can say it twice!!
There are a lot of these "pack" type houses on the market from the continent eg. Haus, DiVinci, Hoff(Hauf? I dont know). They are about 3-4 times more expensive than a conventional build but are generally much higher spec. Instead of sloping with blockwork, mortar and trying to squash abit of insulation between they use pre-fabricated panels, The internal doors are generally all rebated and draft proof, They use good window frames and not just good glass.
You could probably argue that its value for money, if you can afford it.
