    hi

im a bit clueless with regards to all this stuff, so any help is much appreciated.

so the story is, i left college, worked in ireland for about 2 years, then lived in london for about three years. i got made redundant from my job in london last july, ive been travelling since and am planning on returning to ireland to look for a job at end of december...

can anyone tell me what im entitled to with regards unemployment allowance. i own a house in dublin and have a mortgage.

if im entitled to unemployment benefit, what steps do i need to take..

    many thanks
    sinead

Job seekers allowance, you're not getting job seekers benefit

It's the same rate but you have to jump through a few hoops.
Get down to your local SW office and you'll be given an appointment with an inspector (think that's their job title??) and you possibly have to get a home inspection done too.

Possibly you might get help with interest on your mortgage but they will tell you that or even then do up a list of question you want to ask

The Stamp that you paid in your job in london will count toward a claim for Jobseekers benefit here as it is the common community area.
as long as you have full employment weeks for 2006.
you will need to give them your UK national insurance number so they can track it.
