Right, When using some larger sessions on pro tools, I'm finding that the meters on the channels are not as responsive as they should be, same with the main counter. Not that its affecting the performance or anything, its just bugging me...
    any ideas whats causing it?

could be a number of things from your graphics to your cpu

make sure you have harware acceleration turned on for your sound card and if your colour palette is set at 32bits then decrrease it to 24bits.

also check cpu usage in pro-tools and cpu allocation, if you only have 50% cpu allocated and you start hitting that mark things will start getting sluggish.

    hope this helps

Cheers, altho my CPU usage is fine, generally around the 20% mark or so, depending on plug-ins (using 2.2ghz Duo-core with 4gbs Ram). I'm using a mac so not sure on adjusting the display settings...
