    GPS mapping question:

Is there a website that gives the mile/ lap markings on google maps and the rest of the hrm, lap breakdowns etc. as provided by motionbased.com. Is it a case of enabling this on the website. Are there other sites better than this for free?

    Thanks

Not exactly sure what you are looking for. Is it an alternative to Motionbased? If you have a garmin, you could try Garmin connect.

you could also try SportsTracks, but it's a downloadable application, rather than a website. It will manage your laps, heart rate data etc.

Oh wait, you want to see the laps appearing on Google maps? Yes, SportsTracks does this. Also using Garmin's Training Centre you can expand on the activity in the left pane, and select a particular lap/split, and it will only show that segment in the Garmin maps (and also graphs of that segments HR data etc.

Motionbased won't show you google maps for a specific lap.
    Hope this helps.

I'm looking for lap markers on google maps, so I can link back visually where a particularly hill or flat starts.

I've only recently got my 405 so I'm still playing with the software. I'll have a look at the various applications and see what's out there.

    Thanks for the feedback Krusty.

No problem. Garmin Training Center will let you view each lap, but it uses Garmin's own maps. SportsTracks will overlap on google maps (I think it's google maps they use), but takes a little while to figure out how to use it.
