I installed a Creative webcam onto my computer but it wasn't compatible with Vista. I uninstalled the software however a couple of days ago a pop up appeared asking me to Register my software. I can't get rid of it and it's driving me mad. There is still a Creative folder present in the Program files but with nothing in it only the Product registration software. I've tried Uninstalling again but it doesn't appear. I've tried deleting the whole Creative folder but the pop up remains. I've even tried registering on the website but that didn't work either..... HELP:(

You need to run a registry cleaner to get rid of the unnecessary registry entries - try ccleaner www.ccleaner.com let us know how you get on

I found the Creative folder and the registration folder I changed the .exe file on the registration file to .exe.BAK and this seems to have stopped it. Do you think that's sufficient?? Or is is still there?

Sounds like you have found the program that was causing the pop ups, however the registry setting will still be in place. Why re-name the exe file? why not just delete the creative directory if your original intention was to uninstall the program

I was unable to delete the Creative folder - for some reason access was denied.... downloaded the registry cleaner - great thanks
