Why can't I go and look through 2+2 forums, pocketfives, cardrunners, etc. when I'm in the library in college? They have a filter on absolutely everything that has the words 'poker' or 'gambling' in it. I can check how United are doing on skysports.com but I can't check how the EPT is going on pokernews.com. It's not like I am trying to fire up 8 tables on poker stars or anything!
Yet, half the students in here are logged on to bebo or facebook looking at photos of last weekend's puke fest! So unfair! At this rate, I have no choice but to actually study!:(

Have you tried logging into the sites you mentioned the same way as the others get onto bebo and facebook as these are blocked sites aswell.

Is easy to get around that. I'm always browsing poker stuff when I should be doing college work. Just go to the following website > website translation > type in pokernews.com or whatever and you can access it. You will have to keep retyping addresses should you wish to go to a different page.
