A great race meeting in store with three grade one races.

In the big one the rejuvenated Hardy Eustace makes his first appearance in Fairyhouse since 2002 he also won his bumper here beating Central House.
Likely to be sent off favourite is Catch Me who in my opinion is too inconsistent and in my opinion an easier opponent than Sizing Europe for Hardy to beat. Of the other Kazal and Muirhead are the big dangers, both blinkered for the first time, while Brave Inca will definitely need the run.

The first race will likely see Tharawaat sent off favourite as he won very well last sunday but I'd have to go for Yield For No One who has had the better of Admiral Barry and Seenya and on a line of form with Fist of God should have the better of Tharawaat.

Cousin Vinny should win his race but I fancy Tramp Stamp who looks promising and with her mares allowance and race fitness represents good e/w value.

Northern Alliance is a weak fancy in the Drinmore, won a Grade 2 in punchestown a couple of weeks ago in comfortable fashion in his first run on heavy ground and steps up in trip here and @ 7-1 represents value against Forpaddydeplasterer and Trafford Lad who frankly I believe to be overrated.

    7.30am inspection on Sunday morning

Was there today the freezing fog never lifted of the track all afternoon, if anything it was getting colder towards the end of the card.

It looks unlikely racing will go ahead but hopefully it will.It is a very good looking card and my strongest fancy would be Tranquil Sea in the Drinmore.

I don't feel so bad about having to give away my pretty tickets now!

Interesting to watch the bump0er today. The bumper at Down Royal was not a strong one, so the Taffe horse will have to come on an awful lot to figure here, unless this is a moderate renewal.

Mullins is reportedly useful and I like the breeding of O'Grady. Hugo De Vindecy is a nice horse but might be a bit weak at this stage. No bet or me in the race but should be informative.

Terrible analysis on my behalf, I'll put it down to experience.

Hugo de Vindecy did that very well indeed and will come on loads for the run. Looks a lovely horse for the Monaghan lads.

Can I just say well done to Brave Inca and connections, after 18 months for off due to injury that was a hell of a comeback. I should have put something on e/w but I assumed he'd need the run.

We all assumed he would need the run but he had done some very very good work recently, some of his best in his life. So there was hope. If he is ok tomorrow he will head for the crimbo hurdle and Colm thinks he will improve a lot from today and Davy was sympathetic with him so hopefully more to come. Great to see the Macs Joy lads, Hardy and Inca having a run on the same card. Brought back memories.
