    Tonight @ 11.45 on BBC2.
Compilation of 1970s BBC performances on shows from The Old Grey Whistle Test to Sight and Sound by such luminaries of the electric guitar as Carlos Santana, Mark Knopfler, The Edge and Peter Green, as well as acoustic masters like John Martyn, Bert Jansch, John Renbourn and Paco Pena.

Thought some of you folk would be interested....

Cool, thanks for that. The last Guitar heroes I saw was on Jules Holland and was awesome.

    Will be watching tonight.

Was watching this. Not bad, but a few performances from guitarists i would *not* call guitar heroes. Still though, i suppose BBC only have so much on archive :o.

Mine were the same!. Went on about how they saw thin lizzy back in the early 70s in carlow, "before they were famous" :D.

I nearly got my ass-whup on when they started coming out with statements like "ah sure jimi hendrix was tehnically good, but he didnt mewsic in 'em the way some lads do. My cousin had moosic in 'em" /culchie-accent. :).

Another good music night for the beeb. They've had some great stuff on lately. That and the documentary before it (From The Byrds to The Eagles) were excellent. A great nights viewing for an oul codger like me sitting in on a Saturday night!

Was some good stuff on there allright.
Although I'm sure they could have dug out some live footage of Lizzy and Purple instead of showing them miming (vocals aside) on Top of the pops
