Looks like he'll be retired after his run today. Nowt offical yet but The Sporting Life are suggesting he's run his last race.

Most certainly my favourite non Irish trained horse of all time. A magnificent horse who had an excellent career after returning from serious injury. A real punters pal too

Hope he enjoys a long and happy retirement. At least he's getting out in one piece

Strange one, his trainer was convinced he was as ready as ever yesterday and obviously he'd not have raced him if he thought any different. A pity.

I had him at 5/1 for the WH 2 years ago, and stole 13/8 on course last March.

If only they all were like ID, eh?

Fantastic horse. It would be nice if they retired him now before he gets injured or worse.I thought they should have retired him last year.

he probably was as he travelled sweetly before being pulled up after jumping a hurdle. sprung a tendon off his hock, they reckon he caught the hurdle with his back leg and that did it. (i didn't see the race, just going on reports).
Shan was obviously in the pub/nightclub last night (nothing to do with what he said).

Hope he enjoys a happy retirement. He deserves it, what a legend of a horse.

was sad to see but ya never know the injury might not turn out as bad!
He's got nothing left to prove to us anyways

From reading the text on Sky last night, it appears the injury isn't as bad as feared and they're going to give him a month or so before deciding.

Personally, I would hate to see him finish his career as a 'pulled-up'. He deserves another crack at the World Hurdle, though I can't see him beating Kazbah Bliss this time.
