USB Safely Remove Hardware is a much better tool then the one provided with Windows. No more of that "Windows can not remove this device"

In the unlikely event that it has a problem removing a device it will tell you which process is locking the device.

I've been using it for some time now & find it a great little program.

Their new version 4.0 release is due next week but if you sign up now you can get a licence for "FREE". Get it here:

With your stick in, Right click on any drive and go to properties.
Go to hardware and select the usb drive
    Go to properties.
Now select the option to optimize for hot swapping.
    Done.

Now just pull the drive out. No need to safetly remove.

    No need for other software.:D

I need my USB to be formatted to NTFS and for some reason hot swapping only works with FAT. Handy enough program for me.
