TY Trips Cancelled here and there

    All the schools around mine cant go on their ty rips this year because of the cutbacks on the budget but were still going thankfully.

    Anyone on here get theirs canceled?

    Not in my daughter's school. Yet anyway.

    But a friend of hers told her that in his school TYs have been told to choose subjects and buy books for Leaving Cert for January as his school won't have the resources to staff TY after Christmas. Haven't spoken to his parents yet so I'm not sure if he got the wrong end of the stick.

    We were meant to be going to Paris in March but it was cancelled which is stupid because we'll be paying for it out of our own money during and its during the mid term so teachers wont be taking time off. . We are doing a Web Design course in DCU and everything has been pushed before xmas because they wouldnt be happening next year. .

    Also we were in Belfast last week and we're going to Zambia in June so its all cool :D

    Oh and we are going ski-ing in february in Boston :D

    you're lucky your still going..
    my school were supposed to be going to paris and we had payed and everything. they had to give everyone their money back when it was cancelled....so dissapointed!!!

    TY isnt being cut back as such but the school trips are definatly being cut down in price.
    Still going paintballing but we have actually cut back a 2 night stay in Dublin :(
