    There's been an expert group set up to look at reviewing sales and contract laws, I see.
    The statutes under review include the Sale of Goods Act 1893 and the Sale of Goods and Supply of Services Act 1980 along with secondary legislation which came out of previous EU directives.

    What's the imperative for the establishment of such an initiative? Is it part of the theme of difficult economic conditions threatening consumer welfare? Moreover, is the proposed review necessary, and what sort of recommendations can we expect the group to make - codification or radical overhaul?
