    I've tried Googling for this with hardly any success so here goes... will the v gear MobiDTV (here on ebay) pick up our free to air signals. thanks for an answer.

    I don't think it supports MPEG4 broadcasts, so no good here.

    MPEG4 is decoded at software level. So this stick may work if you install a decoder. I use CoreAVC and it work very well.

    Now, the software that comes with that stick (TotalMedia3) is a piece of crap. My stick (Freecom) came with the same software. It does not support MPEG4 and it can not be set to use it.

    I replaced it for DVBViewer (that can be configure to use any decoder you want) and it work great.

    Long story short: it should work but I think you will have to get another player and the codecs yourself.

    Ok. The one you posted seems to capable of receiving digital only though.

    ok i found out about the MPEG4 rebroadcasts, and i have a couple of qustions, one, how much of the contry can recive them (spicalclely ballinasloe, co galway) and two, how long are they on for.

    1. Can't tell. I am in Dublin myself. Google the website for Ireland DTT and I guess they have that info there.

    2. I think they started in July 2008. They used to broadcast using mpeg2 before.
