i went with go4less.ie flying into boston and i thought they were great everything was really simple

the only thing is usit will let you use your own insurance if you jump threw some hoops go4less make you use their insurance

i havnt been to nj but iv been to ny and personally a week or 10 days is more than enough time to see new york and be done with it. its a great city but i couldnt live there

    Thanks a lot.

Its actually New Jersey im more interested in but i thought id say NY because thought id get more feedback by putting it down. What is the availability of jobs like? and is accomodation costly? in NJ

Id have no problem staying in NY, any feedback on jobs and accomodation there would be very helpful as well. Theres a chance i might have a preference for somewhere maybe near Edison, New Jersey but thats not that important if thats not accessible.

I used go4less last year and while the website is a complete and utter disaster, the staff are incredibly helpful. They were always willing to help me with the various documents etc without being assholes about it. I'm going to use them again this year anyway. I heard that SAYIT didn't turn up to an orientation once? That's not a fact though, someone told me over the summer.

i spent a summer in belmar too. fantastic little place and beach is excellent. lots to do but i guess drinking-wise, nj has slightly stricter drinking laws. people we stayed with knew a local police officer at the time and he brought us for a ride along in his car one evening (i swear - we stopped at dunkin' donuts for a coffee!!!) neway a lot of his route was local houses that were rented out to american students, so we would just cruise by to keep an eye on them.

NJ is great, I stayed with my uncles there at the end of my J1, really pretty, the jersey shore is fun,
I went with usit for my j1 and one of the things I found great about them was being able to change my flights so easily, I decided to come home two weeks earlier via NY instead of direct to Dublin, it cost me hardly anything to change,
So jealous of you guys going on a J1, wish I was still in college,
