Best Galway Hotel?

    Heading to Galway for a getaway weekend with the OH just before Xmas. Looking for a nice hotel to stay in! Any recommendations? Hoping to find something a bit swanky for less that e150 a night. If we can't find anything in Galway, I've heard the Glasshouse Hotel in Sligo is pretty cool, so that's option B, but we've friends in Galway too which might add to the laugh.

    Any ideas? Thanks guys.

    Depending on the night, Glenlo Abbey (only 5 star in Galway) can be got for 130. It,s 5 mins taxi ride from city centre.

    Ring them up and bargain with them. It works.

    Try the park house hotel... its in the city centre and its 4* its about 160 per room per night. Nice hotel

    The "g" I THINK THIS IS A 5 STAR . GOT AN UPGRADE TO HERE FROM THE MERICK ONE WEEKEND AND I ONLY PAID E99 PER NIGHT.EXCELLENT SPOT.DONT EAT OR DRINK ANYTHING OUT OF THE MINIBAR, e4.50 A PACKET OF CRISPS.
