I'm sure a lot of you got the notification email, but just in case you didn't.
The Apple Store is having a sale today. There is a small amount off iPods, iMacs, Macbooks. You can probably get these much cheaper if buying abroad, but for those of you planning to buy something off them for Christmas it's better than nothing.
I got an iPod Nano for €128

I did a bit of damage today.

Bought two sets of the Harman Kardon Soundsticks II which were €140 each(one for me, one for a present for my younger brother this christmas)
Em, an iphone 3G dock(had about €5 off)
Oh and a PRODUCT (RED) shuffle.

While i was placing the order my friend seen me and placed an order of his own. He spent way more than me though..... An ipod touch 32GB for himself, a pink Nano for his GF for christmas and i believe another Nano as a present for his younger brother.

The savings, while weren't huge, they were still a saving which helps. Especially when we have presents to buy :P

"Every little bit helps" as the Tesco ad goes :). Not great discounts, but I'll take any discount over nothing any day of the week... Too bad I'm not really in the market for any new gear right now...

I seen that and was tempted actually! Decided to leave it. I also have my eye on an imac of late, but decided to wait. I'm holding off until after christmas (and Macworld). Plus it'll give me a chance to save more money, then go max out on processor, nice HDD, etc etc

Lot's of discounts on software etc. VMWare Fusion, Microsoft office etc

Apples discounts were pathetic. 50 quid off a 2000 euro computer? Nice.

One thing I hate Apple for is their bloody sales.

It's €50 better than nothing! But i can see where you are coming from alright. Nothing compared to the other big computer companies in the states.

One thing i will say though is that it was nice of apple to pass on the saving s to us in the first place. It's not like we have any traditional sales in Ireland for Black Friday so fair play to apple for giving us something.

On another note though, there is good deals in the app store at the moment. The "sale" prices are still up from yesterday.
