Q: best ferry from Ireland to get to Edinburgh.

    Planning on driving to Edinburgh and around for new year, which is the best ferry to get over these days ?

    [ps starting from Dublin ]

    if you want to take the ferry in dublin , then liverpool is your best bet. if you don't mind driving to belfast, they have ferries there going to troon and tranraer and then it's just under a 2 hour drive from there to edinburgh

    My advice is drive to Belfast.

    On the Belfast Stranraer ferry you don't have to have a cabin.
    Is aprox 300E return

    Belfast without a shadow, it' double the distance otherwise.
