How can I connect my karaoke machine to the home cinema system?

    Dear friends,

I'm a new member at this forum and I read an old thread:

    http://www-srv-4.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055247062

In that thread, someone explained "you could probably buy a dedicated karaoke machine that plays avis for cheap enough money. and that would have two mic inputs etc. you could then hook that up to the home cinema system."

This is exactly my own situation. Now I have a karaoke machine which can also play many disc types (DVD, CD, JPEG, DIVX). It has two mic ports.

I want to buy a new home cinema system, and at the same time keep my karaoke machine. In this case, my family can sing, with the sound coming out better thanks to the new speakers of the home cinema system.

Could you pls tell me how I can connect my karaoke to the new home cinema system?

At present, my microphones are connected to the amplifier (which I will give away once I buy the new home cinema). But when I tried to plug the microphone to my karaoke's mic port, then the mic has no sound. So I don't know if it will work once I buy the new home cinema system.

    My sincere thanks,
