0.2 vs 0.25 BB accuracy

Is there really much of a difference between the different BB weights? I've just gotten a JG Aug A2 today and while it's very accurate up to the limits of my back garden (50ft), I'm wondering how much different a heavier BB would make over longer distances.

I've heard claim that the .25's really help but just want to get some general opinions. Personally fps doesn't bother me, it's accuracy I want, although I don't have the money for upgrades. Opinions?

0.25g BB's give better accuracy and range than 0.2s, it's pretty much all I use at this point, there's a wealth of information out there about the different BB weights and ranges and probably some very good threads in the troubleshooting sub forum if you search for them (I would search and post links, but i'm wrecked and about to get into bed)

Just remember though, that 1 Joule with a 0.25g BB is only 294 fps (for when chrono'ing)

There's also a very good article on arnies about the difference between 0.2 and 0.25 here: http://arniesairsoft.co.uk/?filnavn=/articles/fps_dist_time/fps_dist_time.htm

.25g for the win. They are slower but they do feel like they 'hit harder'. Or more noticably, they do a better job of going through light cover (such as bushes). But the accuracy difference is probably the biggest advantage.

    .25 for the win.

Accuracy, range and penetration of light cover as above.

    Well worth it.

I find the .23s are the best of both worlds, although I've never skirmished with them. They are good in GBBs were you have to use 134a gas and the lower fps TM AEGs as they give you more accuracy over the .2s but don't drop the fps too low.

I like to keep a mag of .2g on me, comes in useful sometimes.

0.23's - Best comprimise ;) Perfect for our power limits. 0.25's are slightly too heavy tbh.

I'd much prefer range over hurting somebody that little bit.

The best BB i used in a pistol was a .28...impressive results...im testing out .28 BBs with my 416 and G3 tomorow at HRTA, so far the .28s are a slight less FPS than .25 but are almost innaffected by wind, which is a big win for me, much easier to compinsate for drop rather than horizontal movement...but regarsd to the post .25s all the way
