    Ok so so my ps3 would not sign on today dns error 80710102 coming up and when I go back into network settings error 807101FF comes up. I have tried all the online guides I can find but nothing seems to be working. I have put everything in manually and still nothing.
    I'm with UPC and its a netgear wireless G router WGR614v9 its connect to my pc and from there to the ps3 (only way I could set it up first) could this be the problem. Anyone have any other ides I can try this is starting to p*** me off.

    Since you have a router in your, you really should be able to connect wirelessly to the internet!

    I'm with UPC too by the way with a netgear router!

    Tried that and just comes up no connection or can not find connection. Its working fine on my pc and another lads in the house. With it connected to the pc I can get ip address but internet connection comes up as failed.

    Do you have WEP/WPA/WPA2 or no security on your home network?

    This is how I set mine up:

    Custom -> Wireless -> Enter Manually/Scan -> Network Name -> WEP -> WEP Key (enter this very carefully) -> Manual -> IP Address 192.168.1.x (x = 2-254 whatever you fancy) -> Subnet Mask 255.255.255.0 -> Default Router 192.168.1.1 -> Primary DNS 89.101.160.4 -> Secondary DNS 89.101.160.5 -> Manual -> 1500 -> Do Not Use -> Enable -> Enter -> Test Connection -> Hopefully it connects and it's NAT Type 2

    WEP Key is essential, it's case sensitive too! If you're not sure go here, your username is admin and password is password. Your WEP Password is under Setup -> Wireless Settings

    No problem, did you get it set up with NAT 2? Much better than the way you had it set up originally?
