Since boney's Biko-ing of the thread went completely over the OP's head, I'll make it clear...

There is a Dublin forum for these kind of posts ;)

All the guy asked was about a promotion and if it is Dublin hotels trying to get people to stay in Dublin, then I think the Dublin forum would not be the place for his query??????

It's a long tradition for me to complain about "Where in Dublin" threads, particularly when the question is in a forum that has no apparent connection with Dublin nor hotels. Mostly in After Hours forum.

I checked the dublin forum, but nothin' was mentioned. since people livin in Dublin don't need to look out for accomadation in Dublin, I thought someone down here might have heard/seen somethin. once again, thanks for a useful post galvianlord.

    Don't worry about it OP.
Most of these queries are posted in the Travel section or my forum, not Dublin city.

    Check

    www.travelodge.ie

There are some great deals in Dublin at the moment.
Rooms from 59 euro per night.
    I used this site recently - http://dublinhotels.ebookireland.com/
Some B&Bs along Drumchondra Road have also dropped their prices to 30 euro pps.
I saw ABC Guesthouse offering this.
Seems like a good price for Dublin City.

thanks lads. got the Burlington reasonable enough in the end. the special offers posted by some some sites were harder to get than I thought they'd be. Just won tickets to Top Gear Live at the last minute, hence the urgency.

I know some that stayed at the 'burlo' for the rugby week-end. They said it was excellent value and it is reasonably central.

Good to know, although not expecting to see much of it. Drop bags, run to show and fall into bed in the wee small hours.

I have come across a small hotel in temple Bar - The Riverhouse.
The prices are excellent. The competition is fierce around there, so it may be one to consider....
    Great location.
