i think Fallout is more or an RPG than first person shooter. but its still brill.

Very different games resistance 2 is good but short in 1 player, about 8 hours i think ( i havent finished it yet as i am addicted to fallout) online is terrible anyway i hate it players are just everywhere you respawn shoot a guy get shot, respawn shoot a guy get shot over and over again. i switched it off it was so bad.

Co-op online is a bit better but over all not as good as fallout 3 IMO.

    Simple, get both :D

Seriously though, consider Deadspace as well if you like horror/shooters. I liked Ressistance 1 and will probably get R2 but Fallout seems to be getting mixed reviews, you either love it or hate it.

ya reading up on deadspace there sounds good. anyone 3else got experence of it

on the post about buying the two i couldn't justify it as i dont play the ps3 that often maybe twice a week. just finished half life 2 and really enjoyed that

my brother was playing deadspace. it looked really good but he said its a renter rather than a buyer.

    there's always COD5

fallout is gunna be more similar to oblivion in the way that you could squeeze over 100 hours of gameplay out of it.
In my opinion theres no competition if its between the two. Get fallout!

LoL by the time you're finished with it you'll probably have enough money to buy a few more games :p

Fallout is an RPG and even though you can play certain parts of it as a FPS, it's not the same. If you want a FPS, Resistance 2 is the better choice, but as others said, you will get a lot more gameplay (and satisfaction!) out of a game like Fallout. If you buy Fallout expecting more of a FPS experience, I think you'll be disappointed. If you like action-RPGs too and you can afford it, both are good purchases.

That can pretty much sum up your question.

The PS3 is Region free when it comes to playing Games so American PS3 games will play on an Irish PS3 without a problem or visa versa.
