Using an iBook as a media server (?)

    No, I haven't done it... yet.

    But I've got an old iBook with a functionally-dead battery just lying around, doing nothing.
    1.33Ghz G4, 768mb RAM, 40Gb internal.

    Sooooo... would this be viable as a media server?:confused:

    Depends what you're trying to do with it. You could add an EyeTV if the machine's capable of it and you'd have a network connected DVR. You could use the built-in VNC to remote control it too.
