I have a Mirai 32" LCD TV and lately it has started humming. Its not that noticeable but it could get worse.

Anyone any idea whats causing it? Its only 10months old

It could be a lot of things,
To give you an example, my LCD TV started making a humming noise very soon after I got it.
It then developed into a sort of quiet crackling.
After a few days of that, it stopped responding to 90% of commands from the remote.
I called up and they had to replace the entire main board.

My suggestion to you, is that since the TV is in warranty, report the fault to the manufacturer to see if they can repair it

My PS3 was causing a humming on my TV. I was moving the whole lot to another room anyway and when I did the humming stopped. It's the socket in the other room that was to fault.

Perhaps its humming cause it doesn't know the words? :P:D

Seriously though, I've heard of Sony series W having this problem so its not just the not so well known makes. If its under warranty, get it checked out or you might end up with an expensive repair when it goes outside the warranty.

I just un-plugged the tv cable going into the satellite box and the humming stopped so its not coming directly from the tv.

When I start to connect the cable back into the sat box, the humming comes back.

Would that be from the co-ax cable having a bad ground or something else on the cable?

What exact cable did you unplug? Is it a SCART going from a sky box/other satalite box or the coax coming from your satalite dish into the decoder?
