Take it out of the box.... lol :P

    congratulations on your new camera:)
You said you want to take some landscape/wildlife shots. The best thing to do is to really get out and go places and start taking pics.
I assume you don't want to shoot on manual the entire time so you'l want to figure out what all the manual settings are which can be very confusing!
Heres a good thread for helping with that http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055026144
Also take a look thought the board sticky here http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055243345. You'l find a lot of helpful info for a beginner there.

Honestly though to really learn you need to go and start taking pics!
You can read until your blue in the face, but it's the getting out and making mistakes that I find the most helpful in the learning process!!

Good luck with the new camera!
Don't hesitate to post any more questions you may have, everyone is very helpful here :)

No experience with it, but with any new camera, open the manual and spend a few hours learning functions and taking a few (hundred) test shots. Or throw the manual away and just go out taking photos and see what happens. Enjoy.

read the manual, try out some of the settings it talks about ie AV or TV. Buy some mags that show them doing different things, macro, portrait whatever whatever and give them a try

If you see something you like the look of, ask how it was done and then try it yourself. If it fails, try and understand why and then try doing it again with different settings to see if it gets the result you want.

    Good luck ;)

you've had the camera 5 days, there's no need to be asking that yet. But if you force the question - Yes, absolutely continue... The beach shot is excellent, just keep taking as many pictures as you can, and as long as you;re enjoying it, keep it up!

Well you've answered your own question there. You'll start seeing plenty of other things you've never looked at before, or things you have looked at, but in new ways... Im hard pushed to get up at any hour in that sort of weather, even if I have an idea for a shot in my head that would require it, fair play to ya.

EDIT: I had only looked in the first album, by beach shot I meant the one with the sun breaking off the water... 2nd album aint bad either!
