    Howya lads!

Doing an assignment for college and I need some help! Does anyone know of any food produce that is sourced or manufactured locally?

I have the obvious ones such as Cheese in Kilmedan, Apples by Vogelaars and Poultry in Cappoquin... Any thoughts on some more city or county food producers?

    Cheers :D

Cheese hasn't been made in Kilmeaden for a few years sham.
There's cheese made in Knockanore alright.
    Porridge oats in Kilmac.

Go into Tesco and look up - plenty of signs showing what they source from Waterford.

    Is milk accepted?

I have a fairly comprehesive list of local food producers that was done for the Terra Madre food conference. If you want to PM me I'll email it to you.

Knockanore cheese is produced in Co Waterford , Im sure the last time I visited Ardkeen superstores they did have rather large selection of locally produced products on stock - so there might be worth a visit ,
Also there are some large Greenhouses around Calaghane cross that produce salad and veg im sure Geoffs and Ardkeen Stores get their produce from here.

Edit : - Jenkins lane market ( Saturdays ) Plenty of locally sourced goods
Waterford CoCo List - Local producers
Aslo the like of flynns butchers in town farm some of their own products and many other butchers still make their own speciality sausages

Just as a taster (forgive the pun) of what I'm up to, here's what the draft of some of the posters and cards look like:

Should get a good few from the ones provided here.

For local eggs, there's Rathmoylan Farm out in Dunmore. Pretty widely available in shops

Almost exactly a year back. Costs up (esp fuels and feed), margins down. They got a decent offer for the herd and related equipment so took it.
