    Hi All,

Hopefully you will find this useful. There is a 25% off sale going www.ajpurdy.co.uk - i was thinking of grabbing a Sigma 10-20mm or similar for a while and i think this is enough to allow my to bite the bullet!

Have a look and you might spot something you like. I think its restricted to items in stock and i don't think it applies to camera bodies.

Are they legit? Some nice savings to be made there if they are.

Yes, they have been selling cameras for years, I got my 5D and 1D mk111 from them.

Every page I tried, displayed fine for me (except some bodies, which aren't discounted anyway), and they deducted the 25% as well.

Purdys are well established and I found them nice to deal with. They moved to new premises in early september which is only 15minute walk from Harlow Town train station. Went over with a friend, Ryan air €20.04c return inc all takes and charges for 2. Back home by 9.45 that night and having had something to eat during day still saved about €80 and had 4-5 hours in London. This sale is bit of a joke they have (had) so much stock its incredable. Also looking at Canon 55-250 I got it from them cheaper than that. They usually deduct sale discount at checkout.

7day shop are great for memory cards and last night I ordered some rechargable batteries for Santa stuff, Oh and a spare camera battery:);)

I got that too but I suppose they might be getting rid of stock before a new delivery. don't like the way they now have an email address and credit card info for me now and I don't have a lens.
I thought that it might have been sold between me opening the page and filling out the form there was about an hour gap while I thought about it. disappointed.

bought some L lenses off them - fantastic service from them... only thing is I've just noticed they charge £30 to deliver to R.o.I.... bit pricey.

well thats a bit of a crummy thing to do. They should have said it was a closing down sale. People who want to return for whatever reason are now SOL. Jerks.

An Irish trade source told me on Saturday that they were in trouble, I just clicked on the thread wonderig if I should say something.... Same source also indicated another big UK dealer is likely to go in the near future. Make sure you don't pay for anything until it is being dispatched.
