Rock Climbing fitness

    now that the winter is here (has it ever left us:D) im just wondering and lokoing for a few tips from climbers as to what excercise you do during the off season to keep up/ build up your climbing fitness?

    im back to useing the indoor wall already but is there anyhitng else that could be done?

    Bouldering. Boulder boulder boulder. It's the bouldering season after all.

    Get a pad, download the guide off the shortspan, and head for glendalough on a dry day, weekends you'll have loads of company. Gets your strength up and, if you're going to glendo, gets your technique up as well as glendo is technical.

    Then of course there's the Irish Bouldering League which is run over the course of the winter for this exact reason.

    iv been doing a good bit of bouldering in the gym and my god you can really feel it:eek:

    any other tips?
