Mounting 37" TV

I just purchased a Samsung LE37A552P3R. The previous people who lived in our house also had a 37" TV and had it mounted on the wall with a B-Tech BT8422 bracket. When these people left they took their TV along with the part of the bracket that fixes to the back of the TV. Therefore we are left with just the part that is fixed to the wall. My question is two parts one. Will the BT8422 work with my Samsung LE37A552P3R and two the bracket in the wall is in a set back part of the wall just to fit a 37" TV, will I have to move the bracket they put there or is the bracket setup the same way for all 37" TVs, regardless of brand? They had a Philips TV there before.

    Cheers

LCDs uses the VESA mounting system. Basicaly a standard where the distance between the holes on the TV and the threads for the bolts is all defined. Your TV uses VESA 200 and the BT8422 is compatable with that. Impossible to know what VESA the previous TV was but good chance it was 200 also. From the look of the baracket online it doesnt matter anyway it should mount regardless. The dimensaions of 37" TV arnt all the same even if the mounting is the same so the TV may be to tall or wide for the space you will have to measure both.

Well the TV fits into the space fine, even with a nice bit of clearance, so its a case of weather it mounts in the same position as the last TV. But like you said looking at the bracket it looks like it has a lot of options for mounting!

    Thanks!
