Help with Netgear wgr614v9 and Snom M3 on Blueface

I've BB from UPC and a Netgear WGR614v9 router. I bought a Snom M3 VOIP handset to go along with my fancy new VoIP setup.

But I'm have a bit of trouble. I've configured the handset and it registers with Blueface OK. I can make outgoing calls if I leave the router settings as standard but turn off the built-in firewall. But I can't receive incoming calls. Actually, it's a bit weirder than that - the phone rings for incoming calls, but when answered put the call on hold and when I try take the call off hold, it's hangs up the calling line and starts ringing again on the VoIP handset - weird.

Anyway, I've tried giving the handset a static IP and setting up port forwarding for Blueface but when I do that, the handset fails to regiser with Blueface.

I think my issue is down to router config (I hope that's all). Blueface technical guy on the phone last night refused to give advice on 'personal networks'.

Anyone able to shed some light on this?

    Thanks.

I have a WGR614v5 and use Blueface. I use a PAP2 ATA and dect phones. I have the firewall on and no port forwarding for voip. The settings on the ATA handle the connectivity with Blueface, and it works fine. It might be an idea to check the configuration on your voip phone, with any examples on the Blueface forum if there are any for that particular phone.

Thanks for that FSL - nothing on the Blueface forums on the Snom handset.

It has feck all in it's config except the login details for Blueface, username, password and it's IP settings. There is an advanced section - maybe it needs more tweaking.

I'll try the Blueface forum anyway.

    Thanks again.
