While browsing the "Buy and Sell" web site I came across the following :

1979 Fender Precision ..... wait for it..... 6,000 euros.

    1973 " " 7,000 euros.

    1964 " Jazz 9,000 euros.

I'm no expert on what these would be worth, but I don't think I've ever come across prices like that for a bass, especially Fender, good as they are.

    Recession ???? What recession ? :D

Here's the link. Scroll 3/4's the way down.

No, clearly those people are drugs, good drugs. Last 64 Jazz I saw went for about €5,000 prior to the recession. You can get late 70's Precisions for about €1200, though why anyone would spend that when they could get a good bass for the money is beyond me. A few months ago I traded a 77 Jazz for a Sadowsky RV4 and I still feel guilty about it.

    I'd rather have 70/90 SX's. :D

i recently paid 850 euros for a 1972 fender mustang(all original including ohsc),i know it was there basic model but still i thought i got a good deal.those prices are insane and only for people who have more money than they know what to do with.

Sounds like a good deal, John. How does it play?

plays fantastic, pickup selector switches are a little funny at times, but overall i love it.i bought it from here about 3 months ago(it was advertised as a 1973,when i put the serial number into the data base it came out as a 1971,and when i took the neck off it was stamped as 19DSCN0130.jpg72)
