Just wondering if it is compulsory to fill in the Agriculture Survey form from the CSO ? Does every farmer get them or is it only a random selection ? Thanks

As far as i know its random selection. Its not compulsory to fill it in, but if you don't they will keep sending reminder letters and calling you and sending you new copies of the survey. trust me, its easier to sit down for the hour and fill it out.

Thanks reilig but its just that they have been sending it to me twice a year for the past four years ,one in June and another in December, same to a elderly neighbour of mine whose forms I also fill in and I'm getting a bit fed up of it now. I can think of more enjoyable ways of spending a couple of hours;) ,think I will just ignore it this time and see what happens.

I rang them up in Cork a few years ago and asked them to stop surveying me that I was getting an even bigger complex and that I had no administration staff
That happened when they pointed out a typo
    Never heard from them since

Thats a great idea massey woman I might just do that tomorrow ,I know exactly how you felt - seems like they keep on sending them to the people who will fill them in - easy way out for them.

I don't think it's a bad thing to do. The information gathered from them is out to very good use by researchers, farming groups, governement, etc.
