The return of €3 Tuesdays

Hi all

Time for some shameless self promotion here;
Bar 3 (upstairs in Matt Weldons) are doing €3 drinks on Tuesdays, they're having DJs and possibly a late bar (to be confirmed).
The €3 covers all shots & shorts & bottles and selected pints, which from my experience of DJing at student nights is pretty decent.

The launch is next Tuesday night (2nd December) from 8:30 onwards, hope to see ya all there.

Has it not been 3 euro drinks there the last few weeks?

Late bar would be nice, but it seems an awfully small area to have a DJ.

It has yeah, but it hasn't been publicised.
Its a nice sized area for what it is, theres a decent space for dancing, plenty of seats and a nice sized bar. Fair enough its not massive like some of the clubs in town but it doesn't need to be and I've definately DJed in smaller venues!!.. Its basically for DCU students who live around the area and want a bit of craic and a cheap night out.
Late bar would be brilliant alright, i'm not sure of the status of that, definately if it proves popular then it will be done.
Anyway all I'm trying to do is raise a bit of awareness as nobody seems to know about it and IMO its a good deal for the students.. plus I want to get a good crowd for my gig!!

Well I think once word spreads you'll definitely get a good crowd in. I'll probably be there myself, as we've gotten several assignment extensions for next week

I think in a perfect world everyone would still rather be in the Old Bar on Tuesday nights, but The Slipper is a pretty good alternative. It's certainly a lot cheaper than going into town, anyhow.

Thats the thing, no taxi fare to or from, no entry fee, no cloakroom fee and cheap drink all night, Sure what more could you ask for!! oh and class music too (ahem)

Pity there are no decent pints for €3, was just Fosters or Bud last time I was there.

I take it you mean some deep tech tribal house or some electro/techno mashups and finishing with some dnb with a hint of dubstep for good measure... right... right.

I did end up getting strongarmed into going last Tuesday and it really was good craic. There was **** all people there, but the music was good and everyone was really friendly. Plus, €3 drinks
