    Hi Mods,

A particularly useful piece of kit would be a DVB-S2/DTT MPEG4 box that can pick up HD and FTA Irish DTT. I've seen threads in which a Clarke-Tech box can pick up the Irish FTA DTT transmissions but it would be useful to keep all such threads in one place.

Yes! It would be a very useful sticky but are there any available?

It would be better in a a few months time as :
    1) Box prices falling.
    2) More MPEG4 boxes DTT due to quite a few countries launching
    3) Premature to encourage purchases so far before launch.
    4) Sticky would get out of date quickly at present.

My recommendation at present is to get a Freesat PVR if you want TV today. PVR will be much more important as VHS and DVD recorders in Ireland only do analogue and an integrated PVR plays at live quality and has EPG to set recordings.

Be patient and save the monies for April/May/June 2009.
