    Hi All,

I wish to get in to photography just for fun and was hoping ye all could advise on some basic reading material so I can read up on the tips and tricks etc and also a good camera to buy. I was just looking on pixmania and seen some good deals (or they seem good to me) there. What should I be looking for in a good camera? My brother in law has a EOS 400D and thats amazing.
Are there better deals out there than pixmania? any recommended shops if so?

Any ideas and advice is very much welcomed.

    Cheers

Have a look on the adverts section Adverts.ie There are lots of really great secondhand cameras on sale there from time to time. You will find that all the sellers are genuine people and willing to bargain usually.

    Good luck

For a recent discussion on first time gear, take a look here.

There's a few basic tips for beginners here, which aren't bad

This page gives some basic info on common terms and what's actually happening when you take a photo. Once you have those, you can then google further on the terms you've learned to read more about a particular area. Hope that helps!
