Has anyone else been omitted from the recent publication of farm payments
Our details are not on the web eventhough we have received all the subs etc
    Why?

I can't be certain of this but I think its only REPS payments for a part of last year up yet.

No, the SFP is part of this as well. At least my SFP payment is on it anyway.

i would prob just put it down to a simple error. Things like change in your forage area from may 2007 that required help from your teagasc advisor etc can infact delay "concrete filing" of your details but payment would have still went out.? I dont know? It could be something simple!. Just a bit off the subject. Has anyone heard that if you have no housing for stock by the year 2010 that your single farm payment will not be payed from then on?. Something got to do with the purpose of the Farm waste grant being introduced in the first place? Just heard it from a neighbour who got a cross compliance check and the guy from the department stated to him that he wont get his single farm payment in the future because he doesnt have any animal housing.? Has anyone heard different or same?.

I presume you will be allowed to out winter stock provided you don't poach the ground or be a risk of pollution . ie no more circular feeders with stock up to their bellies in muck around them.

we are in reps4 & we have put in a provider that we may outwinter stock if they get lame or otherwise . we have a dry 5 acre paddock closed since oct for this purpose if not needed it will be grazed with the first of early lambs or early calving cows.

That system sounds very good indeed. I think in REPS 4 its a given that there will be some sort of out wintering catered for in your plan in case any stock needs to be let out on the advice of the Vet. You may know more about this than me but is it true that you can only have bovine stock for 9 months of the year if you do not wish to house them in someone elses shed for the winter. i think there is a "G" form to be filled for that 6 weeks in advance of housing them somewhere off farm. Basically my neighbour was told all his REPS and stuff would be fine were he to join the scheme but he would lose his single farm payment because of no stock wintering (slurry storage) facility. Its something that i havent heard about at all and prob worth looking into. But i suppose if someone is in REPS their payment per hectare may soften the impact of this anyways. What do you think?.

Well another aspect that I didn't think of yesterday is animal welfare, well worth your while to get a copy of this weeks Farmer's Journal & read the letter from a tipperary reader on page 18 .

Basically you need the minimum slurry storge for the stock you are carrying , there are different lengths of storage time for the area you are in.

outwintering stock is allowed but rainfall we have lately I think it would be very difficult to meet poaching & animal welfare issues.

I am not familar with regulation re taking winter accomadation but I know that you have to fill in " bed & breakfast forms" & stock have to be in test & the herd free from tb etc.

if entering reps it is important that your planner mentions that a couple of animals may be outwintered , this is cover you in the event of an unannounced inspection.

we have cut back in stock numbers (cut down on cattle & sheep) due to the cost of fertilizer etc, & hopefully the reps cheque will make up for this

that is if they ever get around to post out the cheques
