Need to get myself a small plastic funnel, i'm not talking one for petrol but one that would have a spout no bigger than about 1cm so a motor factors would be no good... anyone got any ideas?

For some reason (don't ask me why though) I think I may get one in a kitchen/baking utensils store? (But don't know the names of any in town!)

    Cheers folks

JC... I am beginning to suspect you of building some sort of doomsday device/killer robot, either way I want 10% the ransom money you're planning to get from the city council or I'm going to the cops!

Try a modelling shop. They probably sell them for filling up those little engines with fuel.

There are small ones you can get for filling up hip flasks and the like. Have a look in any offliscences that sell hip flasks, and you should get yourself a good one.

Caulfield Industrial (the old reliable). Pretty much anything you can think of they will have (depleted uranium too for the death star/machine your building). They catalogue and website only carry a fraction of the items they stock. Copper washers too btw.

Some funnels here, but they have a huge selection.......

You might be better off calling into the retail counter in the Oranmore HQ instead of the Tuam Road retail counter. Not 100% sure but I don't think they will have these in the Tuam Road in the smaller sizes.

Oranmore Business Park behind the Quality/Maldron hotel. Right beside the Cisco building.

Hoping this kind gesture will spare me from your wrath when the death star is up and running, lord Vader!!;)

Roll a plastic folder or similar into a funnel.

Good thinking but the hole I need to fill the oil into is pretty small, i'd just make a mess doing that. I hate getting gearoil on my hands (it eats through disposable gloves) - did you ever smell the stuff? tis rank!

BUT! You could avail of the fantastic dynasty of pleasures that owning a hip flask allows you, as well as getting your little funnel for other uses. It's a win/win situation! :D

I'd say you'd get one in Tesco/Dunnes etc in the home ware section or any half decent hardware shop.

I was thinking the pound-shop, they have some cheap crappy kitchen utensils. But if your working with oil that eats disposable gloves, I'm not sure what it will do with cheap plastic.

What do you think oil containers are made of? ;)

I've found that gearoil and diesel eat through latex disposable gloves but no prob with anything like plastic. It's pretty common knowledge within the greasemonkey world, I never copped it until I heard someone mention it before (I always just assumed I was doing such great DIY I was meltin the gloves off me hands ooh er!)

You could try Ryans Homestore, Options in the Eyre Square Centre or beside Tesco, or Safety Direct on the Tuam Road beside CTC and Excelsior (behind Suites Supreme).
