Can anybody remember at what price (barrel of oil) fuel surcharges were introduced at? Just wondering seeing as oil is around the $55 mark (http://www.oil-price.net) I know a lot of companies will have entered into a lot of forward and future contracts also so this is causing fares to be slightly higher at the moment.

Not to worry, from what I've found it was introduced around 2004 at around $35-$40 a barrel. BA's surcharge back then for long haul was £2.50, they're currently £68:eek:
