A thread for wrestlers who just click when they wrestle each other, match recommendations and other related conversation

While there are many examples let me first put forward Jerry Lynn and Rob Van Dam, two great wrestlers in their own right but seemed to bring the very best out of each other back in ECW

Footnote: why Jerry Lynn was let go from the WWE is beyond me, not huge in character but a quality wrestler

As a visual aid lets go with them for the television title at Living Dangerously 1999

Part 1, you will be able to find the rest easily

Any match between Mr. Perfect and Bret Hart.
You knew you could sit back and expect to see some great wrestling and not be disappointed.
As a matter of fact they were Absolutely Perfect.

They had great chemistry in the ring.
Hell, I could even stomach watching Hogan when he was in the ring with Hennig.

    Randy Savage and Ricky Steamboat
    Jake Roberts and Ted DiBiase
    Ric Flair and Harley Race
    Ric Flair and Ricky Steamboat
Ric Flair and a block of wood!
Trish and Victoria (even in Survivor Series 02 when Victoria had to carry Trish)
    Austin and McMahon
Hart Foundation and Arn & Tully
    The Rockers and The Rougeaus
The Four Horsemen as a four man tag team, period.

I could go on but we'd be here all night folks.

Not true at all! Their match at WCW Uncensored in 1998 was an utter abortion, neither man liked that match.

They've had a few ropey matches in 89 as well when Bret was on aborted singles push #2.

To be honest, he got a better deal out of WWE than he did in his time in WCW. If you were unfortunate enough to witness Mr JL, god help you.

ok, I will rephrase it, I knew I could sit back and expect
to see great wrestling and not be disappointed.
Whether either wrestler liked the match or not has no
bearing on my enjoyment as a fan.
The main reason I picked Bret and Curt was because of
    the thread title.

Oh don't get me wrong, the two had a stellar series of matches in at various points in their career. But you can't say any match between the two had great chemistry, specifically with the Uncensored match because it was full of botched spots and slopiness. Why WWE put it on the Perfect DVD still baffles the hell out of me to this very day!

Well someone thought it was good enough.
Maybe I am easily pleased as a fan.:)

For WCW, that was probably a classic for the two, both guys had few memorable moments in that mess of a promotion.

Any combination of Styles/Daniels/Joe and we have a winner. AMW and the Naturals and AMW/Triple X gelled very well.

Only after they spent an entire day in Randys living room going over every step and move. Maybe thats just Randy being a perfectionist. Good chemistry should come nuturaly.

Oh please, you believe everything Hogan says on a WWE produced DVD. I'd place a safe bet that Steamboat would have been able to more than hold his own in that. This is Ricky Steamboat we're talking about.

And how does one nuture chemistry?

Never saw that dvd. Any good?
Of course Steamboat could pull it off. It was Savage who doubted himself and had no confidence.

one of my earliest memories was Steamboat Vs Austin for the WCW TV Championship. now those 2 had chemistry..even though Steamboat could pretty much bring out the best in anybody.
