Installing a Sky+ Box

My mam has a sky box but is getting a free sky+ box with the offer 'introduce a friend', she has been told that she has to pay €50.00 installation even though she is an exsisting sky customer. Does anyone know is this standard procedure? Is it not just a cause of plugging one out & the other in.
    Any help is appreciated!

T&Cs state that a standard installation is €50.

The installation will also include a new quad LNB on the dish and a second cable from the dish to the box as Sky+ uses two feeds from the dish while her standard box uses just one.

Even if the wiring was in place, the time it takes the engineer to go to the house, swap boxes and rematch the card, do a call back etc all costs money. I think €50 is very good, sure you'd get nothing for that these days.
